Wagner Valley Brewing – Rebrand

Wagner Valley Brewing Company is one of the original craft breweries in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York. When I began work on this rebrand, I wanted their logo to reference the beautiful view of Seneca Lake from the brewery.

This undertaking began with a redesign of their logo. To keep some familiarity for consumers, I left the WV graphic intact, while framing it in a diamond. The base of the diamond and horizontal bars symbolize the foreground and the hills across Seneca Lake. The negative space between suggests the body of water and the sky above.

After refreshing the logo, I developed a completely new design for their beer packaging. Each of their year-round offerings follow a consistent layout, with varying colors to make them unique. The design relies heavily on white to make the packaging stand out against often dark and busy competition on beer shelves.
